DESCRIPTION:Cindy Havey and the League of Women Voters for Buffalo-Niagara are excited to share that they have received the ALL IN Campus Democracy Champion Award for 2025 from @ALL IN Campus Democracy for Ms. Havey’s efforts in nonpartisan student voter engagement at Buffalo State University. The Civic and Community Engagement Office at Buffalo State worked with students to increase voter participation and we are thrilled to be recognized for the role Ms. Havey and the League of Women Voters of Buffalo-Niagara had in preparing them for a lifetime of civic engagement. #AllInAwardsALL IN Champion Awards are presented in recognition of exemplary leadership in helping advance undergraduate student democratic engagement, including nonpartisan civic learning, political engagement, and voter participation, while advancing the work of ALL IN on a campus or set of campuses.\nAward winners have demonstrated an exceptional commitment to fostering nonpartisan democratic engagement and increasing college student voter rates in addition to:\n\ncontributed to making democratic engagement a core institutional value\nprovided leadership and worked collaboratively across campus and with the community beyond one’s program or department on campus\ndeveloped and implemented innovative strategies and programming, inside and/or outside the classroom and\nworked to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion in nonpartisan democratic engagement efforts.\n\n
