Students Inside Albany

Hey, kids! Are you interested in learning about New York State’s Legislative Process? Touring the State Capitol? And meeting like-minded students from other parts of the state?

The League of Women Voters of Buffalo Niagara is accepting applications from high school students in Western New York who have an interest in law and government to attend the 2022 Students Inside Albany conference which will take place May 22-25, 2022. There is no cost to the student who is selected.

We are happy to announce that the 22nd Students Inside Albany conference will be an in-person event. If you would like to submit your name for consideration as a student representative from LWVBN, we ask you to submit:

1. an essay of one page or less. Details are in the letter of invitation from our LWVBN SIA Coordinator, which is available as a .docx document or as a printable PDF.
2. student application form, also available in .docx format and as a PDF.
3. nomination form completed by a teacher or guidance counselor who knows you well (in .docx format here and in PDF format here).

The deadline for all application letters and references is February 1, 2022.
