No Kings Rally #3 – Niagara Square

On Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., residents from across Western New York will gather at Niagara Square in Buffalo for No Kings Day, a peaceful march organized by the Buffalo United Coalition.

This gathering is not about partisanship or personalities. It is about reaffirming a foundational truth of our democracy: in the United States, power belongs to the people—not to any one individual, ideology, or institution.

“No Kings Day” serves as a reminder that our system of government was intentionally designed to reject authoritarian rule, unchecked power, and loyalty to any single figure. Democracy depends on participation, accountability, and the courage of ordinary people to speak up when those principles are tested.

At a time when political rhetoric increasingly leans toward division and the concentration of power, peaceful civic engagement matters. The freedom to assemble and to express shared values is not a disruption to democracy—it is essential to it.

Buffalo has a long and proud tradition of civic engagement and grassroots organizing. Gathering at Niagara Square continues that legacy, bringing together neighbors, families, students, faith leaders, and community organizations to stand for representative democracy, the rule of law, and a government that serves the many, not the few.
