VOLUNTEER: Community Resource Fair

This event is sponsored by My Place Home for the Homeless is an organization dedicated to providing resources for the homeless, going beyond providing emergency temporary shelter to helping them identify steps to achieve their long-term goals. This street fair, outside their building, will have a number of other participants who provide information for various aspects of life. The League is proud to be identified as one of those resources, particularly with respect to voting, which is part of helping the homeless become full members of the community. We were well received last year; they will provide a simple lunch.
