LEAGUE of WOMEN VOTERS of BUFFALO-NIAGARA

About Us

A group of ten adults stands indoors, posing for a group photo in front of a fireplace and bar area. They are smiling and dressed in business casual attire.

Today, the League has expanded our vision of a more inclusive democracy for all Americans, regardless of gender, sex, race, ability, or party so they can see themselves represented in our government. To build this vision, we bring an anti-racist, social justice lens to the issues of affordable housing, expanding voter access, fighting voter suppression, money in politics, redistricting and safe and fair elections.  We also promote social and economic justice through the lenses of health care, the environmental, immigration reform and the Census.

ABOUT US

League of Women Voters of Buffalo-Niagara

The League of Women Voters of Buffalo-Niagara serves Buffalo, Erie and Niagara Counties and the communities around us.  Consistent with the national and state League’s mission, our activities are focused on helping to ensure, inform and enable the people in our counties. Our League holds regular meetings that focus on civic issues of both national and local interest. We also actively participate in voter registration drives at local schools, naturalization ceremonies, and community events.  With a known track record of fairness and integrity, our members are routinely asked to moderate candidate forums in the weeks leading up to elections.
