City of Buffalo Charter Revision Commission

The Charter is the foundational document for the City of Buffalo.  iI establishes the power of elected officials, the City’s departments and commissions, as well as the basic functions of municipal government.

Currently, a commission of our neighbors have been appointed to update this Charter – the last time was about 25 years ago so there is work to be done!

The Commission is looking for your input and must submit their recommendations by August 15th so there is no time to lose.  August will be here before you know it.

Please consider attending this meeting and providing your thoughts on how to make Buffalo better.
